Appearance Corsair Nightsword RGB

Probably there is no other word that is most suitable to describe Corsair Nightsword RGB but “big.” It is such a bulky device with most of the body made of plastics.

However, it does have rubber as its material on the top and the side part of the device. It is built with a comfortable contoured shape with high-performance rubber grips to make it fit comfortably in one’s palm.

Corsair Nightsword RGB also has a nice button layout even though it has ten of them, a bit more than a usual mouse has.

It is also one of Corsair’s devices that has the most area of RGB lighting. The logo, the bottom base of the back of the mouse, the front grill, as well as between the scroll wheel are all illuminated and customized through the CUE software.

Corsair Nightsword RGB has a smart tunable weight system. They provide an optional weight set along with a convenient carrying case to prevent us from misplacing them.

These weights allow us to fine-tune the overall weight of the mouse from 119 grams stock to 141 grams full decked out.

There are six optional weights that are broken down by three pieces of 2.8 grams of weights and three pieces of 4.5 grams weights.

The layout of the positions underneath the mouse is hexagonal, giving us the flexibility to change it up whether it’s adjusting it for balance or comfort.

Customization Corsair Nightsword RGB

There are ten fully programmable buttons on the Corsair Nightsword RGB in which each of them can be changed to a macro key press or any other function of our choice.

The buttons are those of high quality as well, with Omron switches rated more than fifty million clicks. It was mentioned before that the DPI can be adjusted up to a maximum of 18,000.

Because it has such a wide range, Corsair Nightsword RGB provides three LEDs underneath the DPI button to get a better indicator on which DPI level we are on. However, these DPI buttons can also be assigned to do something else.

Moving on to the iCUE software, we can create our own board or software-only profiles and in each of them, we can remap most of the buttons on the mouse.

Each of the four RGB lighting zones can have its own set of effects and colors. We can also sync all of our Corsair devices together for a cool lighting effect.

In the DPI tab in the software, we can change the X and the Y DPI values of 43 levels plus the sniper button and we can change the colors of those as well.

The software also actually has the ability to pick up the weights that we have in the mouse currently. Looking at it, we can have a better indication of the weight of the mouse and we can change the center of mass as we want.

Factoring in the shape, the RGB lighting zones, the modular weight set, and the 18,000 DPI sensor, this is one of the most customizable gaming mice in the market.

However, it is a bit unfortunate the rubber side grip is not removable or changeable, since there are some people who like to have that kind of customization as well.

Corsair Nightsword RGB is a bulky and wired mouse with a ton of customization under its belt.
